Apple is expanding its iPhone glass production in Kentucky, adding 200 permanent jobs. The plant, located in Harrodsburg, has supplied glass for iPhones for 20 years. Apple COO Sabih Khan and U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick toured the Corning Inc. facility on Friday.

This follows Apple's $2.5 billion investment in the plant last year, aiming to double jobs and triple output. The plant currently employs 350 people, with new hires including hourly production and salaried development roles. Apple and Corning also plan to build an Apple-Corning Innovation Center on site, which will create 100 additional construction jobs.

Khan emphasized Apple's commitment to American innovation and manufacturing, echoing the sentiment of "Made in Kentucky, Made in America.".
