Apple Intelligence Features Cost Revealed

Apple CEO Tim Cook said there would be costs for some Apple Intelligence features, and iCloud+ tier limits on HomeKit Secure Video have popped up in the latest iOS 27 beta. On Aug 10, Apple released the fifth developer beta, hinting changes to iCloud+ pricing for upper‑tier users.

Currently, iCloud+ offers HomeKit Secure Video: the 50GB plan supports one camera, the 200GB plan supports five. Upper tiers from 2TB to 12TB allow unlimited cameras, yet the beta shows the 2TB plan lists only five cameras, and the 12TB plan shows a limit of 15 cameras, conflicting with Apple’s support page.

The text appears when checking HomeKit Secure Camera settings. Apple Home Authority on X posted screenshots, and Stephen Robles claimed the 12TB plan should support unlimited cameras but shows a 15‑camera limit. Apple hasn’t confirmed changes; it could be a bug or a revision.

If Apple revises its offerings, customers may see new costs for Apple Intelligence features. The beta reveals exact camera counts and included features, but the discrepancy hints at adjustments or an app bug.
