Crest Marine and Balise Pontoons are now offering Apple CarPlay on their infotainment systems, marking a significant expansion beyond traditional vehicles. This integration, announced at Crest Marine's dealer meeting, partners the boat brands with marine navigation app Savvy Navvy to adapt CarPlay for water use.

Savvy Navvy provides essential marine navigation features like nautical charts, routing, GPS tracking, and weather data, which are crucial for water travel and not available on standard Apple Maps. The app will sync with CarPlay, displaying navigation alongside other connected applications on the pontoon's screen. This move also extends to Android Auto.

Starting with the 2027 model year, CarPlay with Savvy Navvy compatibility will be standard on specific Balise and Crest models, launching in September. This includes access to Savvy Navvy Premium features. This development follows similar explorations of CarPlay in marine environments, such as with Sea-Doo jet skis, highlighting a growing trend of bringing familiar automotive tech to the water.
