Samsung Wallet adds Trips timeline for seamless travel planning

Samsung rolled out a new “Trips” add‑on for its Wallet app on Galaxy devices, stitching together flight confirmations, train tickets, theme‑park passes and other reservations into a single timeline. Each entry appears with start and end times, letting users glance at an entire itinerary without digging through email or separate apps.

Eligible items automatically populate the timeline, sorted by time and location regardless of their source. Users can attach memos for extra details, and the feature joins recent Wallet upgrades such as split in‑store payments and the Digital Home Key that leverages UWB or NFC. Samsung says Trips will begin rolling out in April.

By consolidating travel docs inside a native Android app, Samsung aims to cut the friction that mobile users face when juggling confirmations across multiple platforms. The move nudges the Wallet toward a broader role as a travel hub, giving Galaxy owners a ready‑made itinerary manager without third‑party apps. It delivers a tangible convenience boost for summer vacations.

Early adopters who sync boarding passes from airlines or tickets from partner services will see immediate organization, while developers may soon tap the Trips API to push eligible content directly into Wallet. As Android rivals continue expanding native payment and travel tools, Samsung’s integrated approach could set a new baseline for on‑device itinerary management.
