Samsung has reported its Q2 2026 earnings, with consolidated revenue reaching KRW 171.5 trillion, a 28% quarter-over-quarter increase. While the company's DS (device solutions) division, particularly its Memory Business, achieved an all-time high in revenue and operating profit driven by AI demand, the MX (mobile eXperience) division saw a decline.

Despite a year-over-year revenue increase for the MX division, thanks to the Galaxy S26 series and A-series phones, operating profits dropped due to rising component costs. Samsung anticipates the Memory Business trend to continue into the second half of 2026.

Looking ahead, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S26 FE and the Galaxy Tab S12 series later this year. The company also teased new "Intelligent eyewear smart glasses" for the AI era. The Q2 performance reflects broader industry struggles, with a global smartphone market decline of 4%, though the Galaxy S26 series showed resilient demand.
