Samsung Galaxy Watch DND bug affects multiple models

Multiple generations of Samsung Galaxy Watch users report a persistent Do Not Disturb activation bug. The issue, first noted after the One UI 8 Watch update, causes DND to turn on for about five seconds before automatically disabling itself. This flaw impacts models from the Watch 4 through the latest Watch 7 and Watch 8.

Samsung's community moderator confirmed the company is developing a permanent patch for the affected devices. Until the update arrives, the company suggests two workarounds: activating DND through the connected phone's settings or enabling it directly within the watch's settings menu. These temporary fixes ensure notifications are properly silenced on both devices.

This bug follows another recent Wear OS 6 issue causing third-party watch faces to freeze and ghost. The recurring software problems highlight the challenges of maintaining consistent functionality across the fragmented Wear OS ecosystem. Users must now wait for Samsung's promised fix to restore expected DND behavior on their wrists.
