Google Pixel 10a: Should You Wait?

Latest from Android Central •

Deciding whether to buy a new Google Pixel can be tricky, especially with the upcoming Pixel 10a. Currently, discounts abound on the Pixel 9a and Pixel 9. The Pixel 9a introduced a redesigned build and improved camera. However, its memory and storage are potential drawbacks, and rumors suggest the Pixel 10a might not offer significant upgrades.

Given the rumors, waiting for the Pixel 10a might not yield major improvements over the Pixel 9a. While the Pixel 10a could launch with a longer software support window, and potentially with Android 16 or 17, the specs might remain unchanged. The Pixel 10a is rumored to debut in February or March, so the wait won't be overly long either.

Ultimately, if you're in the market for a midrange Pixel, the Pixel 9 might be a better option. It offers more RAM for the same price and a better main camera sensor. Since the Pixel 9 has about five years of Android OS upgrades remaining, it may even hold up better than the Pixel 9a or Pixel 10a.
