Pixel Watch owners are losing blood oxygen and skin temperature tracking after a Fitbit firmware update went sideways. Version 3.57.1.2.910093395.release stripped sensor permissions from devices, and users can't re-enable them because the system claims no app is requesting access.

Google acknowledged the problem on Reddit and confirmed a fix is in the works. Frustrated users on forums report this has happened to them roughly ten times over the past ten months, with some missing health data for more than a week.

Since SpO2 and skin temperature sync passively, users often don't notice their watch has stopped tracking until checking the Fitbit app — potentially losing days of health data without warning. Google's Reddit statement expressed regret, and some users have found restarting their watches helps temporarily.
