ddHiFi IEMs: Skyfall & Iris Deliver Budget Power

Chinese audio maker ddHiFi has delivered a pair of surprisingly good entry‑level IEMs with its partnership with India's Headphone Zone. The two models, the Iris and the Skyfall, both use a 10 mm dynamic driver; the Skyfall adds a BA driver. Prices sit at ₹2,699 ($28) for the Iris and ₹3,699 ($38) for the Skyfall, normally about ₹300 ($3) higher but currently discounted during the Headphone Zone sale.

I used both with my Fiio M21 over a month, and the design immediately stood out. The Iris sports a green hue while the Skyfall is a bold blue, and both feature 3‑D‑printed shells that reveal their drivers and connectors. The shells are slightly larger than typical entry‑level IEMs, yet they remain comfortable, and the Skyfall’s 4.4‑mm balanced cable adds durability.

Sound-wise, both deliver detailed bass, clear mids, and extended treble without brightness. The BA driver in the Skyfall gives richer mids and a livelier overall sound, and it also adds extra sub‑bass energy that suits mainstream music. The Iris, however, shines on vocal presentation if that’s the priority.

If you’re undecided, the Skyfall edges out as the better all‑rounder, offering engaging audio and a balanced cable for ₹3,699.
