Wispr Flow has introduced Notetaker, its first product beyond dictation, now available for Mac. The AI-powered meeting assistant transcribes, summarizes, and extracts action items from meetings, drawing context from calendars, connected apps like Slack, and personal dictionaries. Wispr CEO Tanay Kothari explains that while transcripts have limited value, the key details and decisions extracted from them are more useful to a broader audience.

Notetaker briefs users before meetings with sourced information, provides live transcripts during calls, and catches up on missed portions afterward. It works across Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Slack huddles, and supports MCP for integration with Claude, ChatGPT, and custom agents. The tool transcribes on-device without joining calls as a separate participant, avoiding awkward bot shadows.

Wispr's user base was expanding by 40% month over month as of March. A Windows version is in development.
