A new free app called Accents lets any Mac user access special accent colors previously limited to specific Apple devices. Developer Mahdi Bchatnia created the utility to unlock iMac and MacBook Neo color options that macOS normally restricts by device type.

The app reveals Apple's device-specific color palette, including the vibrant multicolor option that many users consider the only correct choice. MacBook Neo users already enjoy these accent colors alongside new color-matched wallpapers designed by Apple. The upcoming macOS 26.4 software update will bring those wallpapers to every Mac.
