Unforgetful: New App Enhances Apple Reminders

Marco Arment, the creator of Overcast, has released a new app called Unforgetful for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This task-management app is designed for individuals who find it difficult to keep track of reminders.

Unforgetful focuses on persistent notifications, adaptable snoozing, and a streamlined interface, described by Arment as "Reminders for ADHD." The app addresses issues in Apple's Reminders app, such as tasks without alerts disappearing, dismissed notifications not reappearing, and insufficient snooze options.

Instead of replacing Apple Reminders, Unforgetful works with its data, allowing seamless integration with Siri and other compatible apps. Key features include repeated notifications until completion, elimination of organizational layers like folders and tags to prevent tasks from being lost, and various controls for widgets, Lock Screen, and Control Center. The app also offers intelligent notification spacing and delayed location-based reminders, mitigating shortcomings of the native Reminders app. Unforgetful is available via subscription after a one-month free trial, covering all platforms.
