Apple CEO Tim Cook remotely rang the Nasdaq Opening Bell today from Apple Park as part of the company's 50th anniversary celebrations. The ceremony, which typically takes place in Times Square, was held virtually from Apple's headquarters, where Cook delivered a speech to employees and leadership gathered at the campus.

During his address, Cook reflected on Apple's origins in Steve Jobs' garage and the company's mission to empower people through technology. He credited Apple's success to its users, teams, and shareholders, emphasizing how the company's products have enabled people to launch businesses, transform industries, and create art over the past five decades. Cook was joined by Apple's leadership team including John Ternus, Deirdre O'Brien, Greg Joswiak, Sabih Khan, and Eddy Cue for the celebration.

Cook received a commemorative plaque and trophy marking the occasion, which also included remarks from Nasdaq Chair and CEO Adina Friedman and Regional Vice President Dylan James.
