Small Prophets debuts October 7 on Apple TV, and it’s already beloved by viewers and critics. Last month, Apple TV announced that it was doing something very rare: licensing an existing show from another network. British comedy Small Prophets debuted in the UK earlier this year and became a hit for the BBC—it has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. Now Apple will bring the beloved show to viewers around the world.

Small Prophets premieres Wednesday, October 7 on Apple TV with its first two episodes, followed by weekly releases through November 4. Today Apple debuted the trailer for Small Prophets, offering a taste of what’s coming. Small Prophets was created, written, and directed by Mackenzie Crook, who also created Detectorists and acted in The Office (UK) and Pirates of the Caribbean. Note: Small Prophets will be available globally on Apple TV, but UK viewers won’t gain access until 2027.
