In his final weeks as Apple CEO, Tim Cook shared his thoughts on legacy in a CBS News interview. When asked about his own legacy, Cook stated, "In my view, your legacy is described by others, not yourself. And so, I hope that people will say that I was a good and decent man. And if they say that at the end of the day, I will feel like I have achieved something."

This reflection came during CBS News' coverage of Apple's opening of its Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in Houston, Texas. The interview also touched upon Apple's push for American manufacturing.

Cook's tenure, which began following the passing of Steve Jobs, a figure Cook once described as embodying "innovation," is nearing its end. John Ternus is set to become Apple's new CEO on September 1, with Cook transitioning to executive chairman.
