Apple TV added another significant trophy as its drama Pluribus captured the Breakthrough Drama Series prize at the Gotham Television Award. The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced the winners late Tuesday, and Apple’s slate had six nominations ranging from lead acting to supporting roles. Pluribus’ win pushes the series’ total haul to 11 major honors.

The series beat out contenders such as “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” and “Mr. Scorsese,” which earned nods for comedy and nonfiction categories. Other awards recently went to “Katrina: Come Hell and High Water” for Breakthrough Nonfiction, Tim Robinson for Lead Comedy, and Chase Infiniti for Lead Drama. The spread of wins underscores Apple TV’s growing clout in premium scripted content.

With a Golden Globe, Critics Choice, AFI and two Saturn Awards already on its résumé, Pluribus now joins an elite group of Apple originals that translate critical buzz into industry recognition. The series remains available on Apple TV’s $12.99‑per‑month subscription, joining a roster that includes Severance and The Morning Show. Its latest accolade solidifies Apple’s strategy of leveraging prestige drama to drive ongoing subscriber growth.
