OpenAI Replaces Pulse with New ChatGPT Scheduled Tasks

OpenAI is rolling out a new scheduled tasks feature for ChatGPT users on web and mobile. This update allows people to set reminders, handle recurring work, or monitor web changes. A dedicated Scheduled page in the sidebar lets users pause, edit, or delete these active tasks in one central location.

This system replaces the existing Pulse feature, which will disappear in 14 days. Users can now schedule work for specific times or broad windows like morning and evening. These tasks are capped at running once per hour, and the system may automatically pause tasks that show a period of inactivity.

Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users get these tools immediately. The update also includes a faster photo attach experience where the menu transitions smoothly into the camera. This streamlined flow moves selected images directly into the composer, reducing the friction for users capturing real-world data for the AI.

These updates signal a shift toward more proactive automation rather than reactive chatting. By integrating web monitoring and recurring tasks, ChatGPT moves closer to acting as a personal assistant. The removal of Pulse ensures a more reliable and unified experience for paid subscribers across all platforms.
