macOS Tahoe 26.3 Fixes Window Resizing and Finder Bugs

Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.3, addressing two major usability issues that frustrated users since the Liquid Glass redesign launched. The update tackles problems with window resizing and Finder's columns view, both of which broke common workflows for millions of Mac users.

Window resizing became unexpectedly difficult in macOS Tahoe because the operating system's large rounded corners pushed the clickable resize area outside the visible window boundary. Developer Norbert Heger found that 75% of the resize target now lies outside the window due to the new corner radius design. Apple's release notes state that window resize areas now follow corner radius instead of using square regions, theoretically making the task much easier. The update also fixes Finder's columns view, where a horizontal scroller had been covering the column resizing widget, preventing users from adjusting column widths. Jeff Johnson noted that this issue affected his preferred columns view, which he'd used since Mac OS X.

These fixes demonstrate Apple's responsiveness to user feedback about the controversial Liquid Glass redesign. While the visual changes were meant to modernize macOS, they inadvertently broke fundamental interactions that users perform dozens of times daily. The rapid turnaround on these issues suggests Apple is actively monitoring user experience problems and prioritizing fixes for critical interface elements.
