Apple has opened public betas for iOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and iPad OS 27, bringing the long‑awaited Siri AI to devices that support Apple Intelligence. The assistant moves beyond simple voice commands, engaging in natural conversations, following up on questions, and executing multi‑step actions inside apps. A new Siri app stores your history, and users can even tweak the assistant’s voice expressiveness on recent hardware. The beta is currently English‑only and not yet available in the EU.

Beyond AI, iOS 27 promises sweeping performance gains. Apple claims apps launch 30 percent faster, new photos appear in Photos 70 percent quicker, and AirDrop transfers can be up to 80 percent swifter. Safari gains automatic tab grouping and a Notify Me feature that tracks price changes. The Passwords app auto‑updates weak passwords, and Shortcuts lets you describe automations in plain language.

watchOS 27 introduces a Dynamic App Grid, single‑tap widget selection, and extended menstrual‑tracking support. macOS 27 Golden Gate offers a new Spotlight‑based Siri interface, refined Liquid Glass design, and uniform toolbars. iPad OS 27 adds Visual Intelligence with Apple Pencil, and SSD transfers are now up to 5 times faster, matching Finder on Mac.

To install, enroll in the Apple Beta Software Program, then go Settings > General > Software Update and choose the 27 public beta. Use the Feedback app to report bugs and help Apple polish the release before the final rollout.
