After months of beta testing, macOS 27 Golden Gate is now rolling out to everyone, bringing Apple's new Siri AI, deeper Liquid Glass refinements, major Safari additions, and a long list of performance and quality-of-life improvements.

During this year's WWDC, Apple focused much of the event on cross-platform features and improvements, largely because many rely on the new Apple Intelligence framework. macOS 27 Golden Gate still includes several welcome improvements of its own, starting with tweaks to Liquid Glass. A new Liquid Glass slider lets users customize transparency, and there's a Clarus the Dogcow easter egg. Revamped app icons and traffic light buttons get a Liquid Glass look, and corner radius is now standardized.

Apple also rolls back the sheer number of icons shown alongside menu items, returning menus to a cleaner look. Other visual tidbits include edge-to-edge sidebars and more distinct active windows.

The most significant new feature is the revamped Siri, developed with Google's Gemini model. It gets its own app plus system-wide integration, using a per-device indexing system. The app lists chat history, supports prompts, attachments, dictation, search, and pinned conversations.
