Apple's MacBook Neo has arrived at $599, featuring a 13-inch display and A18 Pro processor in silver, indigo, blush, and citrus colors. Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who accurately predicted these specs, now projects 4.5-5 million units will ship in 2026, with 2-2.5 million sold in the first half.

Quanta currently serves as the exclusive assembler for the MacBook Neo, though Foxconn may join "in the near future" while Luxshare could potentially compete for assembly business. Kuo's initial 5-7 million sales forecast was adjusted downward due to the later-than-expected release timing.

Contrary to earlier expectations, the MacBook Neo 2 may not feature a touchscreen display, as Kuo suggests Apple's first touchscreen MacBook will likely be in the Ultra premium segment. The company's OLED MacBook Pro is expected in late 2026 or early 2027, while an OLED MacBook Air revision remains on track for around 2028 or 2029.
