iOS 27.2 is now available, introducing a new Find My feature for Apple TV 4K remotes. The Siri Remote is now trackable within the Find My app, addressing a long-standing oversight. Previously, users relied on the Remote app via Control Center to locate lost devices.
The update allows compatible Siri Remotes (2nd generation and later) to appear in the Devices tab. The timing coincides with the new 4th generation Apple TV 4K remote, which adds Precision Finding and a built-in speaker. This feature helps users locate a lost remote step-by-step and trigger a noise to aid searching.
The upgraded remote is available separately for $59 and works with all Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models. Precision Finding requires an iPhone 17 or newer. The update also includes new features for Apple Photos, Messages, and Siri AI.
