iOS 27 is launching very soon, and the beta reveals Apple may have some powerful new AI features coming for Apple TV 4K and HomePod devices. The Home app in iOS 27 adds an 'Apple Intelligence Report' for Apple TV and HomePod, indicating AI support is coming.

When Apple unveiled its forthcoming major software updates at WWDC, two platforms were hardly mentioned: tvOS and HomePod. Their absence was especially curious considering all of Apple’s messaging about Siri AI that touted the assistant as being built for a “singular and consistent experience” regardless of your device. Except Apple TV and HomePod, based on Apple’s announcements, would be stuck on the old Siri—and thus offer a very different experience.

Rumors hinted that this discrepancy was due to unreleased Apple TV 4K and HomePod hardware with Siri AI support. We recently reported on new evidence of Siri AI coming to tvOS 27. And now, even more evidence has been uncovered in iOS 27 that points to Apple Intelligence features in the works for Apple TV 4K and HomePod. Apple Home Authority posted on X that even though the current HomePod and Apple TV may not support Apple Intelligence directly, both now have an Apple Intelligence reporting toggle in the latest betas.

To see this Apple Intelligence Report menu, your Apple TV or HomePod must be running the tvOS 27 or HomePod 27 beta. The addition of this AI menu is a strong hint that Apple Intelligence is coming to the company’s Home devices. Likely this fall, dependent on new hardware launching. Apple’s September event is where we’re expecting to learn what’s next for Apple Home.
