iOS 27 rolls out a suite of refinements to Apple Notes, turning the app into a more organized and AI‑powered workspace. Users can now insert divider lines to separate sections, a small but useful tweak that fits neatly into the existing formatting toolbox. The change arrives alongside other updates aimed at streamlining note‑taking.

Siri receives a notable upgrade. With the new Siri AI, the assistant can add or reformat content directly in a note, even pulling answers from the revamped Siri app. Mention the target note, and the system pastes the text automatically, closing a gap that previously required manual copying.

Markdown handling improves further. When users paste Markdown‑formatted text, iOS 27 converts it to rich text automatically, eliminating the extra step that existed in iOS 26. A new “Copy as Markdown” option lets writers export their notes back into plain‑text syntax, catering to creators who rely on the lightweight markup language.

Image Playground receives a major boost, with a new generative model that runs on Private Cloud Compute, enabling photorealistic images inside Notes. Generated images carry a hidden SynthID watermark, flagging them as AI‑created. Though the full suite of features remains in beta, the update signals Apple’s push toward integrated, cloud‑based AI content creation.
