Apple has released iOS 27 beta 4, the latest preview for developers following the initial WWDC debut. This significant update for iPhone focuses on advancements in Siri AI and Apple Intelligence, alongside refinements to Liquid Glass and numerous quality-of-life improvements.

Developers can now download the new beta, identified by build number 23G71. Installation is via Settings > General > Software Update > iOS 27 Developer Beta. As with all beta releases, it's advised not to install on a primary device due to potential bugs, battery variations, and app compatibility issues.

Key changes in beta 4 include a new "splash screen" for Siri invoked from the Dynamic Island or Home screen. The depth effect bug introduced in beta 3 has been resolved. Siri now features two enhanced voices with working pace and expressivity; five older voices still list these as "coming soon." A new Health data sharing reminder, similar to location alerts, has also been noted. Not all iOS 27 features are universally available, with Siri AI and Apple Intelligence requiring newer hardware, supporting iPhone 11 and later, and iPhone SE 2 and newer.

Apple will continue beta testing throughout the summer, with a public beta already released. The official iOS 27 launch is anticipated in September, coinciding with the new iPhone lineup.
