How to Install iOS 27 Public Beta on iPhone

Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 27, offering a more stable build after extensive developer testing. The update supports iPhone 11 and newer models, plus a wide range of iPad models, though advanced features like the enhanced Siri require iPhone 15 Pro or newer with Apple Intelligence. Two Siri-related features are exclusive to iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air.

Apple advises against installing the beta on a primary device due to potential bugs. Before proceeding, create an archived backup via Finder on a Mac to preserve the option to revert to iOS 26. Connect the iPhone, trust the computer, and choose "Back up all data to this Mac" with encryption optional.

To install, enroll in the Apple Beta Software Program at beta.apple.com. On the iPhone, open Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates, select iOS 27 Public Beta, then tap Download and Install. If the Beta Updates option is hidden, disable automatic iOS updates first.

Key features include a more intelligent Siri with Visual Intelligence in Camera, AI-enhanced Flyover in Maps, flexible location sharing in Find My, natural language input for Reminders and Calendar, and major Wallet upgrades like Apple Cash bill splitting and Tap to Share for contact and loyalty data.
