iOS 27 adds Siri hub, AI suggestions and smarter Calendar

Apple's iOS 27 rolls out a dedicated Siri app, a rebuild from the ground up for the AI era. The app lives on the iPhone home screen and syncs conversation history via iCloud, letting users start a chat on a Mac and pick it up on an iPhone, iPad, Watch or Vision Pro. Apple positions it as a hub for longer, chatbot‑style queries.

Messages gains one‑tap AI suggestions that surface directly in conversation threads. When a chat mentions photos, dates or tasks, the system proposes relevant reminders, notes or image selections, letting users act without typing a separate prompt. Apple frames this as “Apple Intelligence” that feels like a convenience tool rather than a chatbot, a design choice many users prefer.

Calendar introduces Smart Event Details, letting users type a natural‑language line—title, time, location, invitees—and have iOS extract each element automatically. This removes the need to fill fields individually, streamlining event creation for busy professionals. Combined with the new Siri hub and Messages shortcuts, iOS 27 pushes AI deeper into everyday workflows, making the OS feel less like a novelty and more like a productivity engine.
