Claude Code Adds iOS Simulator Testing in Mac App

Claude Code's Mac app now includes an interactive iOS Simulator pane for live iOS app testing, as announced by Anthropic. The feature is in public beta for Pro, Max, and Team plan subscribers and requires macOS with Xcode and the iOS platform installed (Claude Desktop v1.24012.0 or later).

Users can open an iOS project in Claude Code Desktop, ask Claude to build and run the app in the simulator, and watch the app launch in a pane beside the conversation. Claude can tap through the interface, read the screen, and iterate on changes while the simulator remains open. Users may also interact directly with taps and swipes.

Anthropic notes the simulator pane drives the simulator directly without taking over the screen, unlike the CLI which uses computer use. The feature works only in local sessions; cloud and SSH sessions cannot access the Mac's simulators.

Official instructions detail granting Claude device access and managing sessions. More details are available via Anthropic's documentation link.
