ChatGPT users can now book restaurant reservations and join waitlists through Yelp without leaving their chats. Yelp expanded its integration with ChatGPT, following a prior partnership that brought Yelp reviews and business info into ChatGPT responses. Now, users in the U.S. and Canada can book tables or join waitlists at thousands of top restaurants directly from the chat.

Once booked, users can make changes to their reservations through Yelp. The integration lets people ask for recommendations and, if available, secure a spot via a booking flow that includes party size, date, time, contact details, special requests, and confirmation. This combines discovery and booking in one chat.

Yelp notes this extends its AI search presence, including through organic citations. The company says Yelp is the most cited home services discovery platform, with a 3.4x lead in citations over its nearest competitor across major AI platforms. The partnership highlights growing AI integration in everyday services.
