The feature launches today in the app’s Assistant tab.

Users can pose queries—such as “birthday dinner spots with vegan options and heated outdoor seating” or “top‑rated gyms with group classes and childcare”—and the assistant pulls matches from Yelp’s database. Once a place is chosen, the chat lets users reserve a table, book a medical appointment, order delivery, or request a quote, streamlining the whole process.

Yelp also integrates third‑party services like Vagaro, Zocdoc, and Calendly, letting users book beauty appointments, medical visits, or schedule consultations without leaving the app. The update coincides with a new AI‑powered personalization model for the iPhone and iPad home feed, and an AI Menu Vision that overlays dish photos, giving consumers clearer visual cues before ordering.
