Brian Tyree Henry joins Apple Original Films' upcoming feature "Running," continuing his collaboration with Apple TV. The award-winning actor, recently starred in Dope Thief alongside Wagner Moura, will appear opposite Spike Fearn in this new sports drama from director Gavin O'Connor.

The film follows a homeless high school running prodigy as he uses his talents to escape his past and find family. Henry's casting marks his second project with Apple, following his Emmy-nominated performance in Dope Thief. The screenplay comes from Bill Dubuque, who previously worked with O'Connor on The Accountant 2.

Apple continues to expand its original content library with high-profile talent. The tech giant's streaming service costs $12.99 monthly and features hit shows including Severance, The Morning Show, and Shrinking. No release date has been announced for Running yet.
