Apple has increased the monthly and annual rates for its AppleCare+ extended warranty and device protection service for new Mac and iPad customers. The price adjustment, reported by Bloomberg, sees an increase of $0.50 per month or $5 per year for these plans.

New monthly prices for Macs range from $4.49 for the Mac mini to $18.49 for the Mac Pro. Annual prices for Macs go from $44.99 to $184.99. For iPads, new monthly rates start at $5.99 for the iPad and iPad mini, up to $11.99 for the 13-inch iPad Pro (M5). Annual rates for iPads range from $59.99 to $119.99.

These new prices apply only to new sign-ups. Existing AppleCare+ customers for Macs and iPads will continue to pay their current rates. AppleCare One, a multi-device protection plan, remains unaffected by these changes.
