Apple’s WWDC preview of iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate slipped multiple clues that a foldable iPhone is slated for September. Beta code references a device’s fold state, angle and dual‑display count, while new landscape support and resizable app windows prepare developers for a form factor shift. The leaked details suggest the upcoming iPhone Ultra will be Apple’s first foldable handset.

The same OS updates hint at a touchscreen Mac, dubbed the MacBook Ultra, arriving later this year. macOS Golden Gate adds scroll‑to‑refresh, touch‑enabled Sidecar, a Drawing iMessage app and larger UI spacing to accommodate finger input. These software tweaks imply Apple is ready to ship a Mac with built‑in touch capabilities, a move that could reshape laptop ergonomics.

Apple also appears set to enter the home‑security market with a privacy‑focused Home security camera. Bloomberg reports the device will feature facial recognition, infrared sensors and HomeKit Secure Video support, including 4K recording. iOS 27’s new Home app functions, four of which tie to Secure Video, reinforce the timing. If released, the camera could pressure third‑party makers and deepen Apple’s ecosystem control significantly.
