Apple has released watchOS 26.5 for Apple Watch, bringing a new Pride Luminance watch face as the headline feature. This customizable watch face offers extensive options including color combinations, dial shapes, and corner complications. Users can choose from 11 pre-configured color schemes or select from over 70 colors to create a personalized time display that reflects their individual style and preferences.

The update also addresses critical functionality issues. Apple fixed a bug where Messages could default to SMS instead of iMessage when paired with dual SIM iPhones. Additionally, the company resolved an issue where Workout app audio alerts would fail to play when the iPhone wasn't nearby the Apple Watch during exercise sessions.

While this update focuses on refinements, more substantial changes are on the horizon. watchOS 27 is expected to launch next month with potentially significant new features. Current Apple Watch users can install the update through the Watch app on their iPhone to access the new face and performance improvements.
