Apple is rolling out beta 7 today for iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and more forthcoming software updates. This late in the beta cycle, major new features are unlikely, with Apple's focus expected on bug fixes and stability. Minor user-facing changes, such as tweaks to app icons or UI elements, remain possible.

Based on Apple's history in previous summers, there likely won't be more than one more beta before the release candidate (RC) arrives. Beta 8 is expected next week for iPadOS 27 and related updates. The RC versions should debut immediately after the iPhone event, with Wednesday, September 9 currently seen as the safest bet for the iPhone unveiling.

Apple's beta testing cycle for iOS 27 and more is almost complete, with the company expected to ship its major new software versions in mid-September. The event date is anticipated to be announced as early as this week.
