iOS 27 launched this week with a major overhaul to Apple Intelligence. While many iPhones retain the same 8GB AI storage requirement, newer models need nearly double the free space. The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air now require up to 14GB to enable all advanced on-device AI features.

This increase supports two exclusive capabilities: Siri AI voice customization for expressivity and pace, and improved dictation accuracy powered by Apple’s more robust on-device model. For all other iPhone models, 8GB remains sufficient for iOS 27’s AI features. The update marks a significant leap for Siri, with over 100 new functionalities showcased.
