1Password lets Claude log in securely without passwords

1Password now lets Claude sign in to websites without exposing passwords. The new integration on Mac works by letting the AI agent request only the credentials it needs for a task. The requested login data is sent through a secure channel and injected into the page, while the password, one‑time code, and other secrets never enter Claude’s context orਾਨthropic’s servers. Users approve each request with a biometric prompt; the permission lasts only for the current session.

Multiple site logins can be handled in a single workflow, so Claude can book travel or manage accounts without stopping for separate logins. The release also introduces Agentic Mode, where the 1Password extension locks the vault to expose only the approved credentials while an AI controls the browser. Users can see when the mode is active and cancel it at any time.

Availability is now on Mac for business, family, and individual plans. It requires the 1Password desktop app and extension, plus the Claude desktop app and extension. Support for payment cards and identity information will arrive later. This partnership, first announced in March, turns the planned Цon‑based access into a shipping feature and lays groundwork for other AI agents.
