A Villanova University freshman football player, D’Hani Cobbs, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault. The arrest followed an investigation into an alleged incident from December 2025. The university confirmed the arrest on January 30th, after which campus police launched an investigation and notified the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.

Cobbs' arrest stems from an alleged assault against another student, leading to charges including rape, aggravated indecent assault, and indecent assault. His bail was set at $250,000. Villanova has stated it does not tolerate any form of sexual violence and is committed to supporting the victim and fostering a safe environment for all students.

Following the incident, Cobbs' bio was removed from the Villanova Athletics website. The university's statement emphasized the school's commitment to a safe environment. The accused is scheduled to appear before District Judge Sloan Walker on February 12th for a preliminary hearing. The attorney for Cobbs did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
