The United States has signed five landmark agreements with RTX's Raytheon to dramatically increase production of Tomahawk, AMRAAM, and other precision missiles. The Department of Defense aims to meet growing global demand for advanced weapons systems by expanding manufacturing capacity across multiple facilities.

Under these up-to-seven-year agreements, Raytheon will boost annual production of Tomahawk missiles to over 1,000 units, AMRAAMs to at least 1,900, and SM-6 interceptors to more than 500. Many of these munitions will grow 2 to 4 times their existing production rates, representing a significant escalation in America's defense manufacturing capabilities.

RTX CEO Chris Calio emphasized that these agreements redefine government-industry partnerships to accelerate delivery of critical technologies. The production expansion will occur at Raytheon facilities in Tucson, Arizona, Huntsville, Alabama, and Andover, Massachusetts, supporting both U.S. forces and allied militaries with advanced weapons systems like the 1,000-mile range Tomahawk and the world's most widely deployed AMRAAM air-to-air missile.
