Two men have been sentenced to prison for the rape of a 13-year-old girl in a Hull hotel room, Humberside Police have confirmed. Shahram Ibrehemi, 20, of Bridlington, and Riley Smith, 19, of no fixed abode, were found guilty of exploiting the highly intoxicated teenager after approaching her on Paragon Street.

Police reported the men took the girl to a hotel room on Anlaby Road on December 26, 2024, where Ibrehemi raped her while Smith acted as lookout. Both men denied knowing each other beforehand and showed no remorse during the investigation. The victim had to be supported to stand when the men approached her.

Ibrehemi pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and received a nine-year-and-seven-month sentence, while Smith was found guilty by jury trial and sentenced to seven years. Both have been placed on the sex offenders register for life. Detective Constable Mark Tomlinson commended the victim's bravery in coming forward and enduring the court process, stating the convictions ensure these men cannot harm others.
