Two men have been jailed for raping a teenage girl in a 30-minute joint attack that left her 'bleeding and distraught'. Taylor Dove, 22, from Sunderland, received a 12-year sentence while Vieri Chapman, 25, from Newcastle, was sentenced to 10 years at Newcastle Crown Court.

The judge described how both men showed no regard for their victim, who was violated by two men simultaneously. Dove was on bail for raping another teenager when he was 17 when he carried out the second attack with Chapman. The court heard Dove bragged about the assault to friends afterwards.

In victim impact statements, both survivors described the devastating impact on their lives. One victim said Dove 'destroyed my life' and she had become a 'shell' of her former self. The judge told the men they had 'dehumanised' their victim and ignored her distress, noting she was crying during the attack. Both men will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
