Consumer Reports has identified 13 best-selling cars that combine high sales with exceptional reliability, challenging the common assumption that popularity equals quality. The list includes models from Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, and Kia, with the Toyota Corolla topping reliability rankings despite being the 11th highest-selling vehicle of 2025.

Toyota dominates the list with three models: the Corolla, RAV4, and Camry. The Corolla sold 248,088 units in 2025 while maintaining the highest reliability score, with only one year below average in the past decade. The RAV4, America's third-best-selling vehicle with 479,288 units sold, achieved above-standard reliability for nine of the last ten years. The Honda Civic, ranked 12th in sales with 238,661 units, received strong reliability reviews for three of the last four years.

Chevrolet Trax stands out as the second most reliable vehicle on the list, with 206,339 units sold in 2025. Despite being newer to the market, it achieved above-average reliability across all measured components. The Kia Sportage, ranked 19th in sales with 182,823 units, received more positive reliability feedback than several higher-selling competitors, demonstrating that dependability isn't solely determined by market popularity.
