Actor Shia LaBeouf has been arrested for the second time in New Orleans following a Feb. 17 altercation during Mardi Gras celebrations. The Transformers star was initially charged with two counts of simple battery after a brawl outside a French Quarter bar, and now faces an additional misdemeanor count. His attorney Sarah Chervinsky criticized the $100,000 bond and dual arrests as excessive.

LaBeouf's legal troubles began when he was ejected from the Royal Street Inn & R Bar for aggressive behavior. Police say he struck two men multiple times with closed fists after being touched on the leg by three individuals. The actor claims he felt threatened and has a history of alcohol-related arrests. At a hearing, a judge ordered him to check into rehab and undergo drug testing.

In a recent interview, LaBeouf disputed needing treatment, attributing his issues to "anger and ego" rather than drinking. He acknowledged his physical response was wrong while claiming he struggles with a "small-man complex." The actor posted a $5,000 bond and has since been released from custody.
