Three children were hospitalized after a school bus overturned in Truxton, New York, on Monday morning. The bus from Homer Central School District was carrying 11 elementary students when it rolled over at an intersection around 8:35 a.m. Trooper Aga Tinker reported the driver was making a left turn when the accident occurred.

A 7-year-old girl, 7-year-old boy, and 9-year-old boy were transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with injuries including two head injuries and a hand injury. Several other students sustained minor injuries but were not taken to hospitals. The road conditions were described as "pretty slick" at the time of the crash.

State Police are investigating the incident that occurred in northeastern Cortland County, about 35 minutes south of Syracuse. All other students were moved to another bus and taken to the Homer School District. The bus driver and aide were also on board during the rollover crash. This marks the latest in a series of school transportation incidents raising safety concerns across upstate New York.
