The information sharing marks Moscow's first known involvement in the conflict between the U.S., Israel and Iran that erupted last week.

The White House downplayed the intelligence sharing's impact, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt stating it's "clearly not making any difference" to military operations. Russia and Iran have grown closer as Moscow seeks drones and missiles for its war in Ukraine, with Iran supplying attack drones and assisting in building a drone manufacturing facility for Russian forces.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied any military or intelligence assistance has been provided, though he acknowledged ongoing dialogue with Tehran.
