Robert Dorgan died after shooting three people at a Rhode Island youth hockey game Monday night, including himself, while three others remained hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.

Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves described the incident as a targeted event, likely stemming from a family dispute. The shooter, who also went by the name Roberta Esposito, was present at the Lynch Arena to watch a family member's game before the violence erupted. Police believe a bystander's intervention helped end the shooting. This tragedy occurred just two months after a Brown University shooting left two dead and nine wounded.

Mayor Don Grebien emphasized the horror of the situation: 'These are high school kids. They were doing an event, they were playing with their families watching, a fun time, and it turned into this.' Pawtucket, a city near Providence, is reeling from the violence that shattered a community event. Authorities are investigating the shooter's background and the victims' identities, which remain undisclosed.
