A Summerville business owner faces criminal charges after allegedly encouraging high school students to commit vandalism and violence through a school protest group chat. Dinah Marie Chollet, owner of The Knot Burger Pub, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police say Chollet joined the "Summerville Walkout" group chat under her business Instagram handle and began encouraging students to escalate their planned Anti-Ice protest. The chat, which had approximately 80 members, was initially organized as a peaceful walkout demonstration scheduled for February 20. School officials became aware of the group when a student reported concerning messages to a School Resource Officer.

According to the arrest warrant, Chollet shared posts from her personal Facebook account that allegedly incited threats against specific individuals. Students discussed bringing weapons including pepper spray and a comb with a hidden knife for "protection" against police. The warrant states that Chollet's position as a prominent business owner gave her influence over the juveniles, prompting them to consider disruptive and violent behaviors. She allegedly told students she was "proud" of their involvement and would join the protest herself.
