Ohio State University faces scrutiny after Anthony Boker, a third-year student and leadership academy member, was charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old and providing marijuana. The university has barred Boker from campus and all university engagements, including student teaching assignments.

Pickerington Central High School terminated Boker's student teaching position immediately after authorities removed him from the building. School administrators notified parents that no students were involved in the alleged incidents occurring in Franklin and Athens counties between October and November.

The criminal complaint details how Boker allegedly instructed the victim to delete communications between them. Both educational institutions are implementing enhanced vetting procedures for student teachers, raising questions about oversight protocols for students with access to minors in educational settings.
