Former Santa Barbara prosecutor Ron Zonen, who tried Michael Jackson for molesting child cancer survivor Gavin Arvizo in 2005, appears on Channel 4's upcoming show 'The Trial' to state unequivocally that Jackson was a pedophile. Zonen asserts the pop icon should have served twenty years for the abuse, claiming Jackson abused children 'almost with impunity' and that the musician's fame allowed him to manipulate juries and fans. The prosecutor points to Jackson's admission on camera of sharing beds with children as compelling evidence of his guilt.

Juror Raymond Hultman, who served in the trial, confirms he still believes Jackson was a child molester despite the singer's acquittal on all 14 charges. Hultman suggests that if accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck had spoken out during the 2005 Santa Maria trial instead of waiting until their 2019 documentary 'Leaving Neverland', Jackson's fate might have been different. Zonen expresses no ill will towards Robson and Safechuck, acknowledging the difficulty victims face in coming forward.

The show features unheard tapes of Jackson expressing his 'fanatical love' for children, which Zonen argues reveal a pattern of targeting vulnerable young boys. Jackson's family lawyer Brian Oxman denies Zonen's accusations, calling them a 'shake down' and insisting paperwork proves Jackson's innocence. Jackson was acquitted of charges including four counts of molestation, four counts of getting a child drunk for molestation, one count of attempted molestation, one count of conspiracy to kidnap, one count of conspiracy to hold the boy and family captive, supplying alcohol to the boy, and conspiring to kidnap him and family.

The TV series 'The Trial' airs on Channel 4 on February 11 and 12.
