Three Miami boys aged 12, 13, and 15 are being charged as adults for the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl at The Green Haven Project community garden. The June 2025 incident involved one boy raping the victim while others held her down and allegedly placed rocks in her mouth to silence her screams.

Police say the victim was walking home in Miami's Overtown neighborhood when she encountered four boys. The suspects allegedly brought her to a couch in the community garden where the assault occurred for approximately 30 minutes. The attack only ended when the victim's father arrived searching for her, causing the boys to flee.

Initially arrested on juvenile charges, the three defendants now face adult prosecution following a grand jury indictment. Jones and Nunez were booked into Metro West Detention Center without bond. The Green Haven Project condemned the incident, stating it contradicts their community values, while emphasizing their cooperation with law enforcement and existing security measures.
